It is quite annoying and cumbersome, in my view, that the URL bar is hidden and would only appear when the active tab is clicked.

There are also some bugs relating to that, which would mean that if a window fails to load while the list of open tabs is hidden by the URL bar, it makes it difficult getting back to the open tabs and unsaved work may be lost.

Also, hovering over an open tab should display the URL, otherwise there is no way to tell what is the URL until that tab is chosen and then clicked again to expose the URL bar.

Reproduce:

Try to reach the URL bar. The only possibility is by clicking an open tab to switch focus to it, and then click it again.
