The first feature set of the MASQ Spaces desktop experience is available in v0.4.3
This is a pleasant change from the decades-old browser and tab style found in
web2 browsers
.Features:
• A desktop view that feels like a dedicated OS-style interface for the app.
• The benefits bar is in a column on the left of the desktop
• The dock at the bottom keeps the users apps and other tools. A sub-menu exposes their functionality on click.
• Apps are added to the dock using the action at the right of the dock, or alternatively via the browser bar.
• Tools cannot currently be added, only Metamask is included.
• Apps added to the dock can be dragged around to change their order. They can also be dragged upwards out of the dock to remove them.
• The desktop has a context menu, accessible on right-click. The only function this exposes currently is to change the desktop wallpaper.
• Changing the desktop wallpaper is achieved via a modal. There are four pre-bundled wallpapers to choose from, or you can add your own using the drag and drop box in the modal. This drag and drop box is clickable and will show a select file dialog.
• The browser bar has been restyled - The 'star' (bookmark) function will add the current url including it's full path as an app to the dock (i.e. a specific page can be added this way). If favicon can't be fetched, it does not save to dock at this time (limitation being worked on)
- Tooltips for the apps are visible on hover with a short delay.
